Vodafone lancia Hatch anche in Italia. Si tratta di una piattaforma di cloud Gaming nata da una costola di Rovio, la software house di Angry Birds, e pensata per sfruttare i vantaggi offerti dalle nuove Reti 5G.
Se TIM ha pensato di realizzare un proprio servizio di giochi in Streaming, TIM Games, appunto, Vodafone ha invece deciso di affidarsi ad un partner esterno. Al momento disponibile per i soli dispositivi Android (ma in futuro arriverà anche per gli utenti iOS), per 6,99 euro al mese si avrà accesso ad un catalogo che include oltre cento giochi, tra cui titoli che hanno raggiunto un notevole successo come Angry Birds, Hitman Go e Monument Valley.
Hatch, comunque, supporterà anche il 4G. Non sarà quindi un servizio rivolto esclusivamente ai clienti Vodafone con un’offerta 5G attiva, ma a tutti gli utenti dell’operatore rosso in possesso di uno smartphone Android con a bordo almeno la versione 6.0 del sistema operativo e 1 GB di RAM. Può essere usato anche sotto rete WiFi ed è possibile giocare anche su smart TV utilizzando lo smartphone come controller.
